Princess Aiko, the only child of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, has been increasingly active in public life since reaching adulthood. She has participated in various official events, including delivering her first official address at the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine conference in Tokyo in May 2025, where she highlighted Japan's advancements in disaster medicine and the importance of international cooperation in this field.
